Northwest Volleyball

2021 marks Maddie's first year coaching for NW Juniors. In the past, she has coached a U16 club team, along with several youth rec leagues, while attending Washington State University for her degree in Education. Volleyball has been a major part of her life in many capacities. She started playing at 8 years old in a rec league and soon became passionate for this amazing sport! She played club for many years in local Puget Sound area clubs. She mostly played defensive specialist positions, but also set and hit right side. Maddie eventually left for college and continued to play in intramural leagues at Washington State. Upon graduating, she moved to the east side of Wasington and continued to play in adult recreation leagues. She had been wanting to get back into the club coaching world and found a great opportunity with NW Juniors!

Her coaching and teaching philosophy mirror each other. She is passionate about helping youth to learn and grow. Maddie believes in positive reinforcement on the court and in life.Volleyball can teach so many amazing life lessons; teamwork, leadership, communication, etc. She is thrilled to be able to share such a great sport with promising, young athletes.
